Every person has its own hobby

December 17th, 2007

Every person has its own hobby, which depends upon his or her character, mood, aims and goals. Hobbies are practiced for interest and enjoyment, rather than financial reward. Examples include collecting, creative and artistic pursuits, making, tinkering, sports and adult education. Engaging in a hobby can lead to acquiring substantial skill, knowledge, and experience. However, personal fulfilment is the aim. What are hobbies for some people are professions for others: a chef may enjoy cooking as a hobby, while a professional game tester might enjoy playing (and helping to debug) computer games. Generally speaking, the person who does something for fun, not remuneration, is called an amateur (or hobbyist), as distinct from a professional. An important determinant of what is considered a hobby, as distinct from a profession (beyond the lack of remuneration), is probably how easy it is to make a living at the activity.

Recreation or fun is the use of time in a manner

December 17th, 2007

Recreation or fun is the use of time in a manner designed for therapeutic refreshment of one’s body or mind. While leisure is more likely a form of entertainment or rest, recreation is active for the participant but in a refreshing and diverting manner. As people in the world’s wealthier regions lead increasingly sedentary life styles, the need for recreation has increased. The rise of so called active vacations exemplifies this.

The weekend is usually a time for recreation, perhaps because in Judeo-Christian and Muslim cultures the weekend Sabbath is “the day of rest”. Holidays are also a common time for recreation, though recreation may take place at virtually any time. Recreation commonly occurs during an individual’s discretionary, or free, time.

Music can make us happy and bring a lot of pleasurable

December 17th, 2007

Music can make us happy and bring a lot of pleasurable moments in our grey life especially when it’s a classical music! It is a broad term that usually refers to music produced in, or rooted in the traditions of, Western art, ecclesiastical and concert music, encompassing a broad period from roughly the 9th century to the 21st century. The central norms of this tradition became codified between 1550 and 1900, which is known as the common practice period. It is still played by many of today’s musicians.

When used as a synonym for Western art music, the term encompasses a range of musical styles and approaches, ranging from compositional techniques (such as fugue) to entertaining operettas.

European classical music is largely distinguished from many other non-European and popular musical forms by its system of staff notation, in use since about the 16th century.

December 17th, 2007

So what is entertainment? Is it just a waste of time or useful and interesting activity? In this case, how many people how many tastes. But to my mind, killing a time in theatre or cinema is rather pleasurable. Have you seen a fresh film Beowulf? Not yet? Do it immediately!

Beowulf stars Ray Winstone, Angelina Jolie and Anthony Hopkins

Fantasy movie Beowulf has topped the US and Canada box office chart.

The film, based on an ancient English poem, uses actors as the basis for animation. It sold $28.1m (Ј13.7m) of tickets during its first three days. Not less popular is cartoon – Bee Movie.

Jerry Seinfeld’s animated Bee Movie slipped one place to number two with $14.3m (Ј7m).

American Gangster, starring Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe, also fell down the chart to third place - taking $13.2m (Ј6.4m).

Shopping is the examining of goods or services from retailers with intent to purchase

December 17th, 2007

Shopping is the examining of goods or services from retailers with intent to purchase. It is the activity of selection and purchase. In some contexts it is considered a leisure activity as well as an economic one.

Shopping is when you go to a store and pick out things then buy them and have fun with. To many it is considered a recreational activity in which one visits a variety of stores in search of a suitable product to purchase. Window shopping is an activity that shoppers engage in by browsing though glass windows of a shop for entertainment. Might try on the item(s) or imagine purchasing these items without actually purchasing, possibly just to pass the time between other activities, or planning a purchase.

So, who doesn’t like different games?

December 17th, 2007

So, who doesn’t like different games? Especially when it’s an online game, which you can easy download from Internet. One of the most popular between gamers is The PlayStation 2 (abbreviated “PS2″). It is Sony’s second video game console, the successor to the successful PlayStation and the predecessor to the PlayStation 3 as part of the PlayStation series. Its development was announced in March 1999 and it was released a year later in Japan.

The PS2 is part of the sixth generation era, and is the best-selling console of all time, having reached over 120 million units in sales in 2007. On November 19, 2005, the PS2 became the fastest game console to reach 100 million units shipped, accomplishing the feat within 5 years and 9 months from its launch. This was faster than its predecessor, the PlayStation, which took “9 years and 6 months since launch” to reach the same benchmark.

To be more slim and beautiful a lot of women keep a diet

December 17th, 2007

To be more slim and beautiful a lot of women keep a diet. “Traditional diet” is a term for a diet that was considered normal in a given location prior to the advent of industrial agriculture and the general availability of fresh foreign food. In particular, the term may refer to the diet of native populations such as the Native Americans, Khoisan and Australian Aborigines.

Traditional diets vary with availability of local resources, such as fish in coastal towns or grains in farming towns, as well as with cultural and religious customs and taboos. In some cases, the crops and domestic animals that characterize a traditional diet have been replaced by modern high-yield crops, and are no longer available. The slow food movement attempts to counter this trend and to preserve traditional diets.

To make our life more easier

December 17th, 2007

To make our life more easier, banks provide for us (clients) a small card, which we use as a system of payment. A credit card is different from a debit card in that it does not remove money from the user’s account after every transaction. In the case of credit cards, the issuer lends money to the consumer (or the user) to be paid to the merchant. It is also different from a charge card (though this name is sometimes used by the public to describe credit cards), which requires the balance to be paid in full each month. In contrast, a credit card allows the consumer to ‘revolve’ their balance, at the cost of having interest charged. Most credit cards are the same shape and size, as specified by the ISO 7810 standard.

Often a general bank issues the credit, but sometimes a captive bank created to issue a particular brand of credit card, such as Chase, Wells Fargo or Bank of America issues the credit.

Can you image you life without new technologies?

December 17th, 2007

Can you image you life without new technologies? I think the answer is “no”! Today it’s impossible. Like computer, it’s not only a machine which manipulates data according to a list of instructions but it’s inevitable thing of our daily life. Whether you be, at work or university, at home or at the caf?, you always carry your “friend” with.

Computers take numerous physical forms. The first devices that resemble modern computers date to the mid-20th century (around 1940 - 1941), although the computer concept and various machines similar to computers existed earlier. Early electronic computers were the size of a large room, consuming as much power as several hundred modern personal computers.
